Overview:
The Ramblin' Man is an album by Waylon Jennings, released on RCA Victor in 1974. With a slightly more commercial sound than some of his previous records, it remained true to Jennings' outlaw country image. The album was released at what was still considered to be the height of the outlaw movement in country music; this was reflected in The Ramblin' Man's chart success, with the record peaking at #3 on the country charts. "I'm a Ramblin' Man", "Amanda" and "Rainy Day Woman", released as singles, were phenomenally successful as well, with the former two becoming #1 hits and "Rainy Day Woman" reaching #2. The Ramblin' Man was reissued on Buddah Records in 1999 with three bonus tracks.
